DEVELOPING COMPETENCY

Competency of Practitioner is gained through practice and continued study as well as participation in community practice groups, attending retreats, etc. Beginners are encouraged to practice on themselves, family, and friends. The number of years a person has been actively practicing Therapeutic Touch™ is the best indicator of competence.

Year long programs for the purpose of developing expertise are available from some advanced teachers.

INFORMATION ON WORKSHOPS IN THERAPEUTIC TOUCH™

Workshops are available from individual Teachers and through Community Colleges and health care institutions.

Each of three Levels involve a minimum of hours of theory and supervised practice. The three levels can be taken over a six month period. It is suggested that students of Therapeutic Touch™ repeat with a variety of Teachers, since all bring their own experience into their teaching.

WORKSHOP FEES

Fees for workshops are set by individual teachers. Community Colleges set their own fees.
